Bible Compiled by Numerous Theological Colleges

I enjoy the text and comintary, how-ever some of it I don't agree with, the named author stretches some points, yet most of the historic and Biblical info extras close, at the text is great... I feel the Bible would be more popular and sell more, if not for the name on it.. The study was compiled by many highly accredited seminaries and they deserve all the credit for evaluating and understanding the overall meaning of Gods word... I originally found a New Testament Version at a yard sale for $.25 cents... After sudying through it a few times realized I want to order the entire Bible... and am pleased I did... following our pastor in sermons adds a lot to the message... Understanding that all personal injections into the text explanations are mostly opinions, yet the info makes it great study being side by side, instead of having to go off-page or back of the book to get meanings and explanations, etc... This is not my only referrence of study but it is more efficient being in the same paragraph...

Thoroughly enjoyed :)

Bearly Cursed is the second read for this author, with a gifted copy for review.
The story is about Brenda, whose family is struggling in hard times. She decides she wants to kill and skin the Bear she sees to use it's pelt for warming herself and sisters, knowing the coming winter will be hard for them. She does shoot it and follows it into a cave discovery wealth beyond her dreams. The Bear makes an offer she can't refuse to benefit her family and stays with the Bear in his Castle within a mountain.
It is somewhat similar to 'Aimee' but this Bear refuses to let her see him at night, so she has no idea what he looks like.
Brenda has to decided if after the time spent with both Bear and man, if she will risk knowing what he looks like. You will have to read the rest. :)
I did enjoy this story and their HEA ending for all characters.
So thank you Cara, now I'm onto Trapped In A Gilded Cage. :)

Good Fairy Tale

Although Bearly Cursed wasn't a typical shifter story it was an entertaining fairy tale. I would expect the "Fairy Tales with a Shift" series to be fairy tales...not so much shifter stories.

I'm not familiar with this author, but really like her style and will read more of her work.
Her second book of this series is now available and I look forward to reading it.

If you are looking for a good fairy tale romance then I recommend this book.

Ok, but needs development

This tale is reminiscent of both the Polar Bear King and the legend of Sir Gawain and Ragnel. It tries to be erotic,but doesn't quite make it. The story proceeds at a breakneck pace and would benefit from better character development, such as Robin McKinley's BEAUTY. This is a nice effort that needs another run it two through the typewriter. There's more than enough material here to expand the tale into a true novel.

A professional yet compact book on Ethiopia. A classic.

This book was introduced to me by an Ethiopian friend, whilst visiting Ethiopia in 1997. I found it full of facts about the country, thorough, professional and yet accesible. This despite the fact that it was first printed in the fifties. Mr. Ullendorf does tend however, to look at Ethiopia through rose- tinted glasses. This should not discourage those who have little knowledge of the country, for it is an excellent introduction to a fascinating country.

I am going to be taking the MCAT soon and was looking for a good biochemistry course review because I don't remember most of the details of what I had learned. This book is exactly what I was looking for. It's written in bullet style format and it is really easy to read. All of the major concepts and important details are there and a lot of them came rushing back to me as I went through the book.
If you're going to purchase this book I have to warn you that it isn't going to TEACH you biochemistry. It outlines the major concepts and details and you will learn a lot from it but if you're looking for all the detail to get a really good grasp on the concepts you are better of looking at a textbook. This is a great supplemental resource and a reference and it will make it easier to study for exams as you don't have to go through the wall of text in a textbook to figure out what is important. However, it will not replace actually going to class and looking at a textbook when you are at a complete loss.
I found this study guide really useful and I wish I had stumbled upon it a year ago when I actually took biochemistry. Thank you Dr. Hemsworth for making the guide and making it cheap, this broke college student really appreciates it :)

I would recommend this guide to anyone looking to have an easier ...

I bought this guide because I was starting to fall behind in my biochemistry class because of the amount of information covered in class. The information in the this guide is written in bullet style format that cherry picks the most important information, and has really helpful visuals when needed, and I was able to quickly catch up to where we are in class right now. The book covers every chapter that we are going to cover according to the syllabus. I would recommend this guide to anyone looking to have an easier time studying for their biochemistry class. If you consult your lecture notes, textbook, and this guide, you will definitely have an easier time in biochemistry. I came in anxious about even being able to pass this course but now I fully expect to ace it (pun intended).

Excellent for learning it for the first time, or review

You know how in a college (or high school) textbook, you have to sift through and highlight what the actual important parts of a chapter are? Well, these books are those highlights. These books are amazing and I wish professors would use them as the primary text. With the Internet, PowerPoints, etc, reading 30 pages per chapter as a author recites everything they know about a topic is really unnecessary and a waste of time for students (and a waste of money). It's much better to study this outline-like format, and then use the web or a professor's notes to expand on anything you need to understand better. I highly recommend this if you want a point-by-point outline the subject without all the extra commentary traditional textbooks provide. I think all of Hemsworth's books here would be good for someone who needs to review any of his subjects, or are learning it for the first time.

So I jumped onto the bizarro erotica bandwagon. This post will be short and sweet like this book. I will admit that I downloaded this because I think man buns are cool and I found the title to be super amusing. But I was a little underwhelmed. it was just dirty talk and sex. The man bun did seduce him with its cologne and its look but he didn’t actually kiss it but I guess that wouldn’t be possible even in the bizarro world. So I was left feeling kind of disappointed but it was a short read, weird, but not weird enough. Cool man bun. If my mom found this…….. That would be awkward.

I'm giving this story 3 stars for an original premise. It is less than 10 pages long, so it definitely isn't worth $2.99. But if you have kindle unlimited and want to laugh you might like it. Like a previous reviewer stated, I would have enjoyed more interaction between the man and his bun. The title was a bit misleading because *****Spoiler Alert****** The main character doesn't actually have a relationship with his man bun. He has sex with his girlfriend while imagining that his bun is talking dirty to him. I would have enjoyed seeing the relationship between man and bun developed further.

Every time I hear that Ben-Erik van Wyk has written a new book I immediately find and purchase that book. I own every book he's written and refer to them constantly. Van Wyk composes some of the most interesting, relevant and well crafted plant / ethnobotany publications available today. Read every book that this man has written and you are guaranteed a more meaningful and dynamic daily existence. No history is as important as the history of human relationships with plants.

I bought this book for Math 111/112 for my Embry Riddle classes. This is the ISBN number that they recommended however there's additional chapters that the Embry Riddle version has that this book does not have. You will be required to purchase the loose leave book. I purchased this book new and it did come with a subscription for MML. I give the book 5 stars, it addressed everything I needed it to for Math 111.

Odd Man Out Here

I hate to be the lone dissenting opinion here, but I found this book (9th edition, and I also owned the 8th edition too) to be very difficult to understand. If you are a beginner in algebra then I suggest you look for something else. However, I can't speak for the calculus part of the book, because I haven't got that far yet. For algebra beginners, may I suggest... Mathematics for the Trades 7th Edition (or later) [Paperback] by Carman, Robert. I managed a 4.0 GPA with this book.
